This year I added a new location to the mini-session series... Chastain Park. This is a spot I'll definitely be using in the future as it's just BEAUTIFUL. Enjoy part 2 of the spring mini-sessions!
As long as I agonize over each post that I put on this little blog, I can't even imagine the extreme amount of talent and patience it must take to write an entire book. Congratulations on two books Ravi... what an accomplishment! Can't wait to read it!
Oh, Grant Park, how I love thee.
Thank you to my friends, old and new, that showed up for mini-sessions in the park. Always a fantastic time!
Dana and Steve are friends that we've had for many many years. Part of a large group of spectacularly child-free friends that we used to spend many late evenings with, we were especially drawn to each other when we each became pregnant with little boys and birthed them only a month apart. We've since shared almost every life moment with these people. The welcoming of firstborn little ones, home purchases/renovations, the loss of parents, and the ups and downs of becoming parents ourselves.
Now we each have two children... Families of four.
There's a calm that seems to come with the second baby. The realization of 'I can do this.' Steve and Dana welcomed beautiful little Pfeiffer into their home. A place that is always full of delicious food, laughter, and wine. Big brother Parker couldn't stop holding her, kissing her, and poking her butt and laughing hysterically. And Grandma was there to hold and love on the little girl that bears the same perfect smile, and pout, as her. The whole time I was there I felt like I was part of the family... part of the everyday chaos that's so perfectly inviting and warm in the Dojnik household.
I just love when really good people make more people.
Welcome to the world Pfeiffer Mary.
Just a little while ago, I got to photograph the Iskandrian Family for their maternity pictures... Basil, Kimberly, and beautiful little Szabba.
And now they have a new little family member, Luca Gray. In all his chunky glory (13+ pounds!), Kimberly just became my new hero. And big sister Szabba is completely in love with him.
I love getting to meet a new baby right after birth. When it's all sleeplessness, hospital gowns, and naked baby. It's bliss. And chaos. And it happens so fast that it's easy to forget that time. That precious time of meeting the newest human in your life.
Congratulations Iskandrian Family!
